The people behind Reset ECS

A small company with an unusually well qualified bench. The formulations are made in the United States and tested batch by batch. The science is reviewed by people who publish in this field for a living.

Founder

Barry Bonner

Barry Bonner

Founder · Environmental Scientist

Not a doctor. An environmental scientist. British, fifty two, and living in Texas. His first twenty five years were spent in autoimmune disease and oncology, starting in the pharmaceutical industry and moving into advanced radiosurgery, working with particle accelerator therapy for cancer patients. In 2014 he was invited to the United States to work on a project by neurosurgeons from Stanford.

In 2017 he had a stroke. What followed was five years researching the endocannabinoid system, holistic health, and developing cannabinoid formulations that do not need to be inhaled. He now runs two companies. One works on the body's own regulatory system. The other works on soil. Both are the same idea: understand what a system needs, give it that, and let the system do the work.

Clinical advisory board

Both advisers are faculty at Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee, and both publish on cannabinoid science.

Professor Ammaar Abidi

Professor Ammaar Abidi, DDS, PhD

Clinical Advisory Board · Lincoln Memorial University

Dean for Research and Chair of Preclinical Science at the College of Dental Medicine. His research is in pharmacology and molecular biology, and a substantial part of it concerns the endocannabinoid system. He has published on cannabinoid receptor signalling, including selective CB2 receptor stimulation in tissue injury, and in 2026 co-authored a review on cannabinoid signalling and autophagy in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.

He advises Reset ECS on formulation science and research direction.

Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and a cardiovascular physiologist with close to one hundred published papers on vascular function and metabolic regulation. His recent work extends into cannabinoid signalling, and he co-authored the 2026 review with Professor Abidi.

He advises Reset ECS on physiology.
