What is Reset ECS?

Reset ECS makes broad spectrum hemp topicals, an oil and a salve, formulated to interact with the endocannabinoid system when applied to the skin. It is a trading name of Bonner Biotech LLC, based in Dallas, Texas. It is not a CBD isolate brand.

What is the difference between broad spectrum and a CBD isolate?

An isolate contains one cannabinoid. CBD has very little binding affinity for either cannabinoid receptor and works by other routes. A broad spectrum formulation uses several compounds that arrive through different routes. That is the reason not to build a formulation on CBD alone.

Which cannabinoids are in it?

Five, each added in a measured amount: cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabinol (CBN).

What are CBDA and CBGA, and why do they matter?

They are acidic forms, how the plant makes cannabinoids before heat converts them. Most processing destroys them without meaning to. CBDA acts more strongly at the 5-HT1A receptor than CBD does. CBGA acts on the PPAR family, a different system altogether.

Why five cannabinoids rather than one?

CBG is a partial agonist at CB1 and CB2, so it binds the receptors directly where CBD largely does not. CBN is active at CB2. Five compounds arriving through five different routes is what a broad spectrum formulation is for.

Is it tested, and can I see the results?

Every batch goes to Bluebonnet Labs in Dallas, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, and the certificates are published in full as issued rather than summarised. Screening covers 69 pesticides, 20 residual solvents and 5 mycotoxins, plus heavy metals and microbial. Each document carries a QR code that verifies it directly with the laboratory.

What is the difference between the oil and the salve?

The oil absorbs in minutes and leaves no residue, suited to joints, neck, temples and wrists. The salve is beeswax based and releases more slowly.

Is a salve the same as a cream?

No. A salve is beeswax based. A cream is generally water based. There is no water in the salve.

Do I swallow or inhale it?

Neither. Both products are applied to the skin.

What is the endocannabinoid system?

A signalling network found in skin, joints, muscles, nerves, immune cells and organs, involved in maintaining balance in the body.

Where do you ship?

Within the United States only. Prices are in US dollars and shipping is calculated at checkout and shown in full before payment.
