Broad spectrum hemp distillate carried in hemp seed oil, black seed oil, jojoba oil, sacha inchi oil and olive oil, with frankincense and beta caryophyllene.
The distillate is not left as the harvest delivered it. It is standardised to five named phytocannabinoids, each added in a measured amount: cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabinol (CBN).
Two of those are acidic forms. CBDA and CBGA are how the plant makes cannabinoids before heat converts them into the versions most people have heard of. Most processing destroys them without meaning to. Keeping them, and then adding more, is a decision rather than an accident.
CBD is the phytocannabinoid everyone has heard of, and it has very little binding affinity for either of the two cannabinoid receptors. It works by other routes instead. That is not a criticism of CBD. It is a reason not to build a formulation on it alone.
The others behave differently, and that is the point of using them together. CBDA acts more strongly at the 5-HT1A receptor than CBD does. CBGA acts on the PPAR family, a different system altogether. CBG is a partial agonist at CB1 and CB2, so it binds the receptors directly where CBD largely does not. CBN is active at CB2.
Five compounds, arriving through five different routes. That is what a broad spectrum formulation is for, and standardising it is what makes the same profile arrive in every container rather than whatever that season happened to produce. Every one of them is a lipid. The endocannabinoid system is a lipid based system, so the formulation is built in the same form rather than in water or alcohol.
